You have given a inspiration and confidence to millions.

We love you. God bless you my brothers and sisters.

We are not just fighting with muslim extremism, we have big battle ahead with our BLIND and DUMB media and pseudo seculars because of whom our young brothers are dying on roads, because of whom we have become beggars and second class in our own land.

  4. We, Indians nationalists across globe, are extremely proud of the people of Jammu for STANDING upto jehadis, islamists, terrorists, anti-nationals and politicians who pamper them for last 6 decades/

I have seen many videos posted in Youtube of his epic making peoples’ uprising by Jammuites. It shows how people from all sections of society irrespective of age, gender, profession, class joined in this grandest feast of Indian nationalism since Indian independence.

Let Maa Bhavani give her blessings to every Indian nationalist.
Let the spirit of nationalist warrior Saint Guru Govind Singhji bless every Indian nationalist.

You are making history. And this time unlike in the past, there will be no meek surrender to Islamists, jehadis, anto-nationals.

Few discredited media, and politicians for votebank cannot stop those who want to sacrifice everything for Bharat-Mata. Its people who make history.

  5. The Jammu uprising gives a lot of hope to the Kashmiri Pandits whose voice is drowned over the years by the Hurriyat and the Valley propaganda. There is more to Kashmir than just the Hurriyat and the valley. J&K has a shared history and all sections of society have their claim on the state.
Why this hue and cry over the Jammu agitation when there were none when there were separatist protests going on in Valley? The world should learn that there are not just Muslims in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Inspite of all this, I feel that our Jammu brethren will not do any kind of economic blockade against the Kashmir Valley. We still believe its a part of the country and our nationalist sentiments run higher over our religious and community’s interest.
Let this Central Government know that they will have to deal with the people all over the country over this issue and not just in Jammu because the entire country shares the agony of our Jammu brothers.

  6. I guess u need to correct ur words.. It is not a fight for nationalism but a fight for vote bank as elections are near.

Without knowing anything about the issue, about the problem you people are supporting it blindly just because of your sentiments.

What do u mean that you are fighting for the facilities of yatris ? Were there no facilities for them for the last 130 years.

You are unhappy because of 6 people dying during the protest. Do u know how many innocent lives have been taken by the Army during the 2 decades in Kashmir. Have u heard of the recent mass graves that were found in the area of Uri ? The number of killings count not in hundreds but in thousands. If Kashmir was a part of India why were u silent then ? Why were u not against the central govt. for sponsoring those killings. Stop being irrational and apply your mind. You people are being so emotionally charged, but once the elections get over, then see how these political parties face away and u will get to know the real truth..

  7. Have you guys seen the Jammu protesters in TV??

They were all carrying Indian Tricolour ! That means they are proud Indian Nationalists. They were not carrying Saffron or BJP flags…Just shows that the people have taken the issue at Heart. This agitation should not calm down until we restore the dignity of Indians and teach a lesson to some of these so called Pakistani-Kashmiris !!

    August 9, 2008 at 7:55 pm

  8. Mr Alex.. that is the problem with you people.. You take everything to heart withour applying your mind to it.

Without knowing the problem, without knowing the issue you will start crying the communal agenda. You will cry that Kashmiris dont want facilities for Yatris as if the Yatris were sleeping on roads for the last 130 years.

Naxalite is a problem which India is facing in almost 10 states. Naxalites have their own laws and their own rules.. Are they also fed by Pakistanis…

People oppose when they dont get their rights. Had u been a kashmiri you would understand that.

  10. Azhar : The decision to grant land to he shrine board was taken by state Govt. There were vested interest opposing this saying “its a forest land”. J&K High Court, Indian Supreme Court upheld granting the land.

STOP BEING PARANOID. STOP READYING RUBBLE ROUSING URDU PRESS.

Respect other religions, if you want to get respect for yours.

People of India, vast majority of them are Hindus, do NOT have infinite tolerance.

In the name of Kashmir, Talibanisation of the valley happened over decades. Violent Jehad have been unleashed killingalmost 100,000 people. Kashmiris themselves paid maximum price.

THE DAY MAJORITY OF INDIA WILL LOOSE PATIENCE, SPECIAL RIGHTS FOR KASHMIR SHALL BE HISTORY. Remember what China did to Tibet and Xinxiang province.

Leave in peace- let others leave in peace.

  11. DO NOT TAKE PARIKSHA OF HINDU TOLERANCE.

2 MUCH JEHAD, 2 MUCH TALIBANIZATION HAVE BEEN CONTINUED IN THE VALLEY FOR 2 LONG.

PEOPLE OF INDIA ARE NOT GOING TO TOLERATE THAT ANYMORE.

  12. Azar,
10,000 forest trees are chopped down to build the Mughal road in Kashmir. No one makes a noise.

Acres of land in the Kashmir valley are given to install mobile phone towers. No one screams.

Acres and acres of land in the Kashmir valley are allotted to lay sewage and drinking water pipes. No one objects.

But when 40 hectares of uninhabitable land is handed over to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board to provide better facilities to the Amarnath Yatra [Images] pilgrims, all hell breaks loose.
Its you who need to fix your mind dude..

  13. Dear Azhar…!!
Did your heart go out for 5000000 hindus which were driven out from their home land? What are you talking about? “Had u been a kashmiri you would understand that” Did you go to any of the hindu make shift tents in Jammu where these people are still staying? Did you not get a reservation because you are kASHMIRI Muslim? Did you not get a priority in govt. jobs because you areKASHMIRI Muslim? Do you not threaten the centre govt because you are a KASHMIRI Muslim? Do you not get centers aid and my hard earned money because you are KASHMIRI Muslim? You do not pay bills because you are a KASHMIRI Muslim. You get food subsidy because you are a KASHMIRI Muslim. I CAN NOT BUY LAND IN KASHMIR BECAUSE I AM NOT A KASHMIRI MUSLIM. Still if you think life is easy on the other side of the Valley and Jwahar Tunnel I have one advice for you……TRY AND LIVE BEING A HINDU IN THIS COUNTRY AND YOU WILL START APPRECIATING WHAT YOU ARE ENJOYING IN KASHMIR ……!!

  14. Its a fight between nationalists who are holding national flag, singing national song and ANTI-NATIONALISTS HOLDING PAKISTANI FLAG, SHOUTING ANTI-INDIAN SLOGAN.

Why does the Valley have more seats in the state Assembly even though Jammu is greater both in population and land area? Why must they have three MPs and we only two? Why must they have all chief ministers and we none? Why do they get 80 per cent of government jobs? Why must they have 60 per cent of power? Why must they have reservation in colleges and technical institutions even though our boys and girls do better? Why is it that we can be thrown out of our homes in the Valley and nothing happens? Why is there such a crisis if we want to set up facilities in the Valley for two months each year? Why do their leaders get to build private mansions in the forests of Jammu’s vaunted Bhatindi outskirts whereas we can’t even be granted land in the name of a shrine? Why are they part of an all-party delegation? They are the creators of this problem, why should they now become judges? And why should we go to them?

  16. yes uprising had to be there kashmiri muslims have done too much atrocities on hindus yet reaped the benefits of hindus benevolence througout the country. i dont say that is bad but muslims are taking it as there right.i think another cheek has been offered for too long for another slap . this gandhigiri from hindus has to end sometime. i wish hindus had not to resort to this but there seems no way out . this intolerance is unthinkable for a mere piece of land for pilgrims when they have haj manzils scattered throughout the country & cared upon by taxpayers money.muslim (blinker on)politicians have to rethink what they want really.

  17. reply to Azhar has been very appropriate kashmiri muslim has enjoved the love of hindus for long time now Time for repayment has come .It was such an inocuous & good thing to give a shelter to piligrims but muslims have betrayed us. when hindus toil 7give their tax money for upkeep & travel of hajis azhar may not be knowing this or he conveniently wants to forget all this. go & see how mush of land under auqaf trust is forest land is it not proper that they should also give it back if they are really concerned aboutenvironment. This new found love for environment was not there when millitants virtually raped forests by illegal cutting of trees on thousands of acres. were not kashmiri muslims bahind it. prblem is you have been pampered for too long to know what is wrong &what is right.check reality first then act it helps want to know more ask any kashmiri hindu !!!

even at the cost of other’s happiness. In order to fulfill this ambition,
the asuras, especially atheistic kings or state executive heads,
try to equip themselves with all kinds of deadly weapons
to bring about a war in a peaceful society.
They have no ambition other than personal aggrandizement,
and thus mother earth feels overburdened by such undue increases
in military strength. By such increase of the asuric population,
those who follow the principles of religion become unhappy,
especially the devotees, or devas (godly souls).”

  24. Hey Azhar…

Where the hell where you when the Anantnag 1989 riots took place, when mobs went on chanting for Nizam E Mustafa (Islamic way of life)? Where were you, when you guys hounded the Pandits from the valley, so much for the fucked up kashmiriyat?

Has any on this Traitor brigade Geelani, Lone,Mufti’s etc etc ever attempted to bring the Pandits back? Give them their land, homes re start Hindu temples that were descreated ?

You know what guys, lets start a fund to send these people advocating Nizam E Mustafa to say Waziristan in Pakistan, where they have this nonsense happening, let them live there for 5 years and then decide what is good for them Nizam E Mustafa or INDIAN WAY OF LIFE.

Fucking No good arm pit smelling bastards, Ehsaan Faramosh hai sab ke sab.

You eat out of our taxes( Hindu money) and show no courtesy to us.

Have you been on the yatra, just see how rough the terrain is.

I say scrap 370 and let us all buy lands in Kashmir and who ever opposes, pack them off to Pakistan.

many thanks for doing this job.

i can assure you that 800 million hindus are with jammuites in this holy war.

I am awed by the action taken by these guys. The fact that the Kashmiri Muslim politicos are coming out frequently and making stupid ( as always) statements , proves that jammuites have scored a MENTAL VICTORY.

This action sends a strong message to the rascals, traitors and turn coats in India, that Hindus ( the majority population in the country) will not take any more nonsense lying down.

  26. Dont ever forget these facts when the next elections come and you go for casting your vote :

Congress led UPA told “There was no RAM so there was no RAM SETU” – I was surprised, Congress which is like 100 years old political party, which is running a Govt of the largest demoracy in the world, secular nation, can deny the existance of the GOD of 80% of its people!! This was so naive, politically incorrect statement.

The very next day, UPA won the trust vote, it again made a blunderous statement – this time it was a little different though – ‘RAM himself had destryed Ram setu, so there’s no existing ram setu to cut to build path’ – Again this contradicts its earlier statement. This is so unbelievable. A govt can make such foolish statement!!!!

When the Govt of J&K (Ghulam Nabi Azad, Indian National Congress) alloted the land to Amarnath Shrine, there were violent protests in Kashmir Vally. And within hours the J&K Govt. revoked it’s land issue to Shrine. Jammu is agitating since 35 days now, but nothing happens.

  27. Azhar,

If you say that the muslims provided facilities, i would say it is partly correct and partly wrong . Of course the muslims did provide the pony and the tents , but they did not do it for love of hindus, they did it for money.

The pony walla did not not do it free of cost ! neither did the tent waala. Since the area is 100% muslim area, it is but natural that business activity would be carried by them only.

The hindus of India did provide free langar [ eating facilities ] to pilgrims and it was in that langer the muslim pony walla and tent walla ate free of cost.

About the mass graves in Kashmir , there have been scores of encounters at the LOC , and if the body remains unidentified , it is but natural for anyone to burry it ,rather that let it be decomposed in the open.

I fear that many of the bodies may be that of missing Kashmiri hindus who were kidnapped by the terrorists.

  28. People like Azhar and Yousuf don’t even provide bare-minimal faclities And will create Big FUSS about the facilites being provided…Likw they are world class.
This can be measured by the fact that 800 Kanals of Land is making them so angry.

How is Azhar so sure about the Graves in Uri where Muslims bodies,Has he done a DNA test ?
And I too fear that these bodies belong to Hindus, which your Jehadi Brothers have killed, In past 6 decades of Brutality.

And Azhar stop giving figures, Your figures are all vague, They don’t even match the Nos of Hindu Killings you have made.
Boss, You people even kill the tourist & yatris who visit Kashmir.

If you are so against the Central Govt policies, why you people select a Lok Sabha representative.
Why do you accept monetary help??
Why you avail the HAJ subsidy?

  31. Azhar,
The mass graves are of Pakistanis who were killed by the Indian Army. We all know that the Pakistan army refused to accept the dead bodies of their own soldiers who were killed during the Kargil war!

The Valley people have long been pampered by the selfish politicians of NC, PDP and Cong(I). In return they have only shown ungratefulness and contempt for India.

If these people like Pakistan so much then let them go to Pakistan and live there. Please ask those who hold Pakistan flag in Lal Chowk to go to Pakistan and live happily there… if they can.

  32. This issue has now snowballed into more than just land row; which stills remains a core issue. I just saw Mehbooba Sayed on TV claming that trading with POK is part of PDP manifesto; that is their agenda. She was just short of saying “the Amarnath row provided perfect platform”.

I just want to ask Azhar and people who support land cancellation, a few simple questions
    a) Regardless of the semantics of land tranfer; would kashmiri people and leaders have opposed the land tranfer if it was an Islamic monument/tomb instead of a Hindu Shrine
    b) A lot of kasmiri Leaders come on national TV and proclaim to be secular. Has anyone talked about nationalism. I dare Mehbooba/her father and others in her party to come on National TV and say “I’m a proud Indian” and then do the same with Indian Tricolour in a mass rally in Kashmir. I’ll rest my argument, if they do.

  36. My dear Indians,
I as a Jammuite would like to Thank all my Indian brothers for their moral support given for the cause. This is the tip of iceberg which has broken due to Shri Amarnathji issue.I would like to give the following figures of discrimination against people of jammu by kashmiri rulers since 1947.even Zee tv had also shown some facts about this 4-5 days back.Just read them carefully to know how Kashmir was always kept in power and Jammu opressed.

We need proper representation & justice. Its now or never.

Do note some shameful discrimination against jammu region by kashmiri rulers. The following are the some shameful acts:–>

    Kashmir:15948 sq km
    Jammu:–> 26293 sq km

    Govt Income revenue:

    Kashmir: 20%
    Jammu: 75%

    Voter

    Kashmir: 2288395
    Jammu: 3059986

    Assembly Seats:

    Kashmir : 46
    Jammu: 37

    Lok Sabha

    Kashmir : 3
    Jammu : 2

    Cabinet Ministers

    Kashmir: 14
    Jammu: 5

    Unemployment

    Kashmir : 29%
    Jammu : 69-70%

    Wot say frndss??????????
SO,IT IS A FIGHT FOR RIGHTS WHERE ALL JAMMUTIES IRRESPECTIVE OF CAST AND CREED ARE PARTICIPATING

    THANKS……

  37. Jenab Azhar: Let us not try to twist facts and provide a convoluted logic. The fact remains that you want it both ways. The hospitality provided to yatris has nothing to do with Kashmiriyat or all that BS you are propagating – IT IS PURE ECONOMICS! If Kashmiri (read muslims) had so much love for Hindus, why were ethnic Kashmiri Hindus forced to leave our homes in 1990? It was due to threats and selective killings of prominent members of the community. I am not sure if were a witness to the events of Januray 19-20, 1990 when Kashmiri Hindus were asked to chose between “Raley (Convert)” “Chalev (Flee) and “Galev (Perish) and YES to save myself, I chose to flee.
Please have some ‘khauf-e-khuda’ and do some soul-searching. Try to separate ‘truth’ from ‘trith’ – if you understand what I mean. Personally, for me secularism died in Kashmir the night I had to flee Kashmir just because I was a hindu !!!

  38. National media has not been showing about the Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti because all these channels are involved in YELLOW JOURNALISM.
Most of the channels have stopped giving news about jammu agitation which entered into 47th day today and will continue till it reaches a conclusive end.
Some channels like CNN-IBN have become pro-kashmir or we can say pro-pakistan as they are very keen to show separatist leaders like geelani and mirwiaz.
Reasons for the same may be due to beating of reporters by kashmiris for less coverage of kashmir violence.Recently AAJ TAK reporter was beaten at a hospital.
Besides repeated requests to the reporters of national media at Jammu, they are not giving any coverage to Jammu agitation, may be peaceful agitation has nothing masala to be shown on tv.
News about jammu can be read at local papers like http://www.dailyexcelsior.com or http://www.kashmirtimes.com

  40. 2000 labourers (both Hindus and Muslims) including women left Srinagar in State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) buses on the intervening nights of August 15 and 16 and August 16 and 17 after they were threatened to leave Valley if they wanted to save their lives.

“In different parts of Kashmir valley, non-State subject labourers irrespective of religion are being threatened to leave the Valley and warned of dire consequences if they choose to stay put there”, Vinay Parkash Yadav of Bihar said while talking to the visiting EXCELSIOR Correspondent at Railway Station.

“The contractors, who engaged us in different works came to us and made it clear that we have to leave the Valley to save our lives”, Vinay alongwith Mohd Ismial of Jharkhand, who heaved sigh of relief after reaching Jammu Railway Station this morning, said, adding “under the prevailing situation in Kashmir valley, the stay of non-State subject labourers is fraught with dangers”.

Abdul Rehman of Jharkhand, who had plaster in his hand, said that some people intercepted him near Soura few days back and fractured his hand with an iron rod while warning that non-Kashmiri labourers must leave the Valley. “Hum Dobara Kabhi Kashmir Maian Kaam Ke Liye Nahin Aayenge (we will never come to Kashmir again in search of work)”, fear stricken Parveen Kumar Yadav of Bihar, who managed to escape while being chased by some persons at Rawalpora, said.

“What to talk of the contractors, who took the advantage of the situation and denied payments to us, we were even not spared by the drivers and conductors of the SRTC buses who charged much more than normal fare for shifting us to Jammu”, Chandu Ram Parkash of Jharkhand alleged.

He said that majority of the labourers choose to travel in the night in anticipation to the attacks on them by the Kashmiris in the day time. “Large number of more labourers are also trying to leave Valley as they have been receiving continuous threats for life”, Chandu Ram Parkash, whose co-labourers could not flee alongwith him, said.

The exodus of non-State subject labourers is likely to cause severe set-back to the developmental activities in Kashmir valley as in Jammu and Kashmir the number of local labourers is not much to carry out the development works

  43. dear friends,
Just going through THE HINDU paper which says

Census data do not bear out Bharatiya Janata Party claims that residents of the Hindu-majority Jammu region are underrepresented in the State’s Legislative Assembly.

In fact, the 2001 Census Survey of India demonstrates that there is near-perfect representational parity between the communally volatile regions. According to the census, which is available online at http://www.censusindia.gov.in/, Muslim-majority Kashmir has a population of 5,476,970 while Jammu is home to 4,429,887 people.

Simple arithmetic shows that there is an elected legislator for every 119,726 Jammu division residents, who are represented by 37 MLAs. Kashmir residents, who elect 46 MLAs, receive legislative representation for every 119,064 people.”

HOWEVER THE FACT IS THAT THE CENSUS FIGURES INCLUDE KASHMIRI HINDUS IN KASHMIR WHEREAS THEY WERE FORCED TO MIGRATE IN 1991 AND ARE STAYING AT JAMMU SINCE THEN…

IT IS A MANIPULATION OF FIGURES

  45. In a rare incident, over 4 lakh protesters including children volunteered for Courting arrest in Jammu region on the third day of “Jail Bharo Andolan” defying the curfew restrictions imposed.Police had a tough time as it could not record the arrest of minor boys and girls, some of whom had come to the police stations with nipple and milk bottles in their mouth carried by their mothers in their lap and shoulders.Under law, children under 7 years can’t be arrested & specials jails are required for children in age group 7-12 years and 12- 18 years.
Most of the children, who turned up for the court arrests, shouting ‘Hum Sab Bache Kahaan Chale, Chote Bache Kahaan Chale, Yeh Baal Gopal Kahaan Chale, Yeh Deewane Kahaan Chale, Jail Chale Bhai Jail Chale’,‘Bum Bum Bhole’ and ‘NN Vohra Hai Hai’. In some of the police stations, they scaled walls and entered inside the police stations as the cops had locked the doors of police stations from inside. Many children were dressed as Veer Hanuman, Lord Shiva and were wearing monkey caps to depict themselves as army of Hanuman. Unfazed by the fear of police, the children danced to the tunes of dhols and freely offered themselves for arrests.
After this, when police offered them the drinking water, children refused by saying “Uncle pani se kaam nahin chale ga,chips aur kurkure chaiye”.In many police stations, police was seen holding their heads after children started making noise when their demands for choclate and chips was not met.

However voilence trigerred in the city during protests Protesters torched government buildings including a police post, banks,ATM and continuously clashed with Police and Rapid Action Force (RPF) personnel on the final day of their Courting arrest . People also damaged the property of a BJP Leader at Gandhi Nagar,Jammu.Over 100 people were injured in the day long clashes including some security men also.

  49. to all the KM’s who want partition, this is a comment published in times of india by a user.

“You are asking a partition based on religion. Third option is widely acceptable. I am not sure what do you meant by “It will cause death and destruction”. Are you threatening 100 crores of people which includes Hindus,Muslims,Christians,Sikh,Jain,Buddhist etc etc… and make their life hell? Too bad and communal buddy…Not good for the nation and for the Islam… And about POK, I dont think pakistanis will allow POK to be independent. I dont see any attempts for that in the other side. No agitation or protest at all. So, what does that mean? This happens in India because you can do whatever you want in a democracy??? See this article below from a columnist. No offense intended, but just a fact:: A Kashmiri Muslim student came to see me last week and it was not long before our conversation turned to the current azadi wave in the valley. He did not think that an independent Kashmir was viable, and its only choice was either to be with India or with Pakistan. After a pause he asked guilelessly, why was India a democracy and Pakistan an autocracy? This set me thinking. I told him that Pakistan was more the norm – Third World countries do not generally become stable democracies. India is an exception. India’s democracy and Pakistan’s autocracy have deep roots in history. India’s nationalist movement was older and more widespread. Millions of ordinary Indians were drawn in by Mahatma Gandhi. Muslim nationalism emerged later and did not become a mass movement – Jinnah was more comfortable in the drawing room rather than the ‘dusty road’. While Indians prepared for democracy over three generations, Pakistanis-to-be got the itch only a couple of years before independence. After independence, Pakistan’s politicians performed abysmally. The Muslim League Party disintegrated; there were nine governments in 10 years and the army under Ayub Khan seized power in 1958. Jinnah’s great error was to impose Urdu as the national language when only 8% of Pakistanis spoke Urdu and 55% spoke Bengali. Thus, he sowed the seeds of Bangladesh. Sri Lanka made the same tragic mistake. India did not succumb to this anti-democratic temptation by imposing Hindi. This is how India gave space for sub-identities to flourish, allowed the rise of peoples’ leaders from linguistic states, and deepened democracy. Although his slogan in the 1945-46 elections in undivided India was ‘Islam is in danger’, Jinnah wanted to build a modern nation. Even though General Zia-ul-Haq reinforced theological priority, i do not believe Islam prevents Pakistan from being democratic. The rise of Islamism does tear the ordinary Pakistani’s loyalty between the brotherhood and the state, but the maulvi is not Pakistan’s natural leader as in Iran. The chief obstacle to democracy is the army. Hence, i am relieved that Musharraf is gone. It does create a vacuum that might be filled by extremists, but in the longer term the best thing for India is to have a democratic Pakistan. For a brief moment in the mid-1970s the two nations seemed to converge. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto began to steer Pakistan towards genuine democracy while Indira Gandhi took India on the path of dictatorship. The paths diverged after 1977 as Mrs Gandhi called an election and Bhutto was executed by Zia in 1979. India returned to the path of democracy, whose binding glue is the liberal notion that all Indians are equal citizens before the law, owing loyalty to the Constitution. This is a British legacy. Before that we were a collection of communities and kingdoms. Although we still feel loyal to our caste or community, we are different from the tragic Pakistanis whose land has been hijacked by the military. Once there is military rule you get a state within a state. You are powerless to stop your secret service from creating monsters like the Taliban and before you know it your country has become the world’s top university for terrorists. I then turned to my young Kashmiri friend. He wished more Kashmiris could come and see India’s vibrant democracy, its confident economy and the rise of the low-born. “There is a simple choice before all Kashmiris,” he said. “If you want to be a citizen of a modern democracy with unparalleled opportunities, you will choose self-assured India. If you believe that Islam is in danger and you want the army’s protection, you will choose tragic Pakistan.”

  55. JAMMU WINS THE BATTLE
The winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir today celebrated the victory of restoration of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board on ‘dhol’ beats and by wishing ‘mubarak’ to their relatives, friends and the neighbours as soon as the news spread like wild fire in the entire region.

Hundreds of people waiting outside the venue for the final announcement since night, on receiving information about the positive outcome, started dancing on the tunes of the ‘dhol’ and music amid chanting ‘Bam Bam Bhole’ and ‘Bhole Teri Jai Jai Kar.’

“The struggle continued for over two months and people from every religion and caste enthusiastically supported the cause and finally we won,” an enthusiast activist of Sangharsh Samiti told UNI.

Sweets were distributed, people exchanged wishes and greetings among each other chanting ‘Bam Bam Bhole’ while colourful fire crackers in the sky reflected the emotions and faith of the people of Jammu.

“The City of Temple has been observing complete shut down for the last 62 days so we were not able to get fresh sweets but I purchased some toffees and as soon as I got the first hand information this morning about final result of the issue, I prepared sweet dish (halwa) at home to distribute it among the residents of my locality,” Neha Mahajan, a housewife added, who along with her kids was on road to celebrate the occasion.

The people arranged ‘langars’ and offered sweet water to the passersby while youngsters carrying tri-colour took to the streets amid the chants of ‘Bhole teri jai jai Kar, teri leela apram par.”

  56. [...] A Battle for Nationalism [...]

  57. For all you people drowned in the saffron waters of nationalsim
Perhaps it is the voice of the supressed echoing against the supressors and to the people who have put the black band of bharat mata and mahan army around their eyes.

My salutations to thy sacred streets, O beloved nation!
Where a tradition has been invented- that none shall walk with his head held high
If at all one takes a walk, a pilgrimage
One must walk, eyes lowered, the body crouched in fear)

The heart in a tumultuous wrench at the sight
Of stones and bricks locked away and mongrels breathing free)

In this tyranny that has many an excuse to perpetuate itself
Those crazy few that have nothing but thy name on their lips
Facing those power crazed that both prosecute and judge, wonder
To whom does one turn for defence, from whom does one expect justice?)

But those whose fate it is to live through these times
Spend their days in thy mournful memories)

Thus always has the world grappled with tyranny
Neither their rituals nor our rebellion is new
Thus have we always grown flowers in fire
Neither their defeat, nor our final victory, is new!)
